Waters Rankings 2021: Best execution management system (EMS) provider—Refinitiv
Product: Refinitiv REDI EMS
“We feel incredibly proud and humbled to win this award. During these unique times, we have stayed the course to continue providing the best trading experience to our buy-side customers via REDI EMS but also the full suite of products offered to such investors. We believe the end-to-end solutions offered to investment managers with REDI EMS enriched by real-time analytics, content and data in Eikon, state-of-the-art connectivity through our ATR network and our award-winning POMS AlphaDesk gives our clients a robust investment solution accessible from the office or from home.”
Quentin Limouzi, global head of order and execution management and equity trading solutions, LSEG
WHY THEY WON
REDI has long been respected in the EMS world, but its migration to web-based technology and connection with Eikon and the new Workspace offering at Refinitiv are helping to push the unit forward with voters.
WHAT’S NEW
Refinitiv added pairs trading enhancements to its pairs trading application (Spread Trader) for futures and equities trading, expanded support for OMS integration, and added new markets/products.
The data provider improved pre-trade content (charting, news, market monitoring, and more), leveraging this Refinitiv content more closely with REDI EMS’s trading abilities.
Refinitiv has continued its migration to web-based technology to both enable the Refinitiv Eikon to Refinitiv Workspace migration and deliver improved content.
It leverages Jupyter to deliver customizable trading analytics to offer clients real-time performance benchmarks alongside their trading data.
WHAT’S TO COME
Over the next 12 months, Refinitiv will tighten its integration of trading analytics into REDI EMS for improved pre- and post-trade measurements.
It will deploy a strategic re-platforming of listed product trading front-ends (e.g. technology upgrades for front-end trading widgets).
