The solution
SS&C Geneva and APX are purpose-built to meet the needs of their user base. Geneva handles a range of complex asset classes (e.g., derivatives and bank debt), offers an automated general ledger and streamlines partnership accounting with automated allocations and fee calculations across diverse fund types (open-ended, closed-end and hybrid). As part of Genesis, APX centralizes diverse portfolio, relationship and prospect data on a scalable cloud-based platform, enabling reporting and compliance within a unified investment experience.
Differentiators
Advent was initially founded in 1983 and its history and track record provide assurances for its substantial user base. The firm’s commitment to innovation ensures clients have access to a range of advanced tools and solutions to support their growth. This blend of stability with high-quality financial technology differentiates Advent as a fintech provider and partner.
Recent goals
SS&C Advent has increased Geneva’s support for more complex fund structures, including evergreen funds and, given the growth in the credit market, introduced SS&C Loan Data to further enhance workflows for funds managing private and syndicated loans. Enhancements to Genesis’ data framework more closely connects financial data and software, like APX, streamlining workflows and providing high-quality data for investors to make better-informed decisions.
Product roadmap
APX, as part of Genesis, will enhance its core accounting, reporting and compliance functionality by centralizing wealth and asset manager data on a scalable, unified cloud platform. Geneva’s roadmap focuses on deepening complex alternative investment support, including private markets, and introducing a more agile approach to innovation. Both solutions will benefit from ongoing modernization, increased interoperability and enhanced scalability.
