Waters Rankings 2026: Best managed data service provider—Rimes
Rimes wins best managed data service provider in the 2026 Waters Rankings for its Intelligence Fabric for Capital Markets product.
Overview
The Intelligence Fabric for Capital Markets is a scalable data and intelligence architecture that turns fragmented data into decision-grade intelligence. It closes the gap between AI ambition and data readiness, providing institutional investors, asset managers and service providers one governed, AI-ready foundation that can be trusted, traced, explained and defended.
The solution
Rimes ingests, validates and governs data at the point of ingestion, masters it across vendors and asset classes, and delivers a single AI-ready foundation across the enterprise. Lineage, explainability and SLA-backed operations are built into the service so that every workflow, model and AI-driven decision on top of it can be traced, explained and defended.
Winning this award is tremendous for Rimes. This validates what we’re hearing from our customers every day, that they are looking for a partner who can provide a trusted data and intelligence architecture that transforms fragmented data, operations and workflows into decision-grade intelligence—the Intelligence Fabric for Capital Markets
Vijay Mayadas, CEO, Rimes
Differentiators
Unlike software-only vendors, Rimes operates the infrastructure that underpins institutional investing, including 5.5 million validation checks daily, more than 850 data partners and 30 years of curated time-series data on one governed, AI-ready platform. Rimes sees this depth as unmatchable across the industry, providing its over 400 clients with the confidence to deploy AI at institutional scale.
Recent goals
- Rimes recently launched a Total Portfolio View on an extensible data model, allowing clients to see across public and private investments, managers and structures in a single, integrated view.
- It also added look-through exposure analysis for faster insight into fund-of-fund and multi-manager structures, enabling clearer asset allocation, liquidity planning, and rebalancing decisions.
Product roadmap
Rimes plans to scale its Intelligence Fabric on Databricks to deepen platform-agnostic delivery into clients’ analytics and AI environments. It will expand its agentic AI workflows across the investment lifecycle, with governance, lineage and explainability built in. It will also strengthen its role as an operator—not just a vendor—running the data foundation behind clients’ most critical workflows.
