Secret sauce
As the official source for S&P Global Ratings content, RatingsDirect offers access to more than 1 million outstanding credit ratings, alongside research, criteria, and credit-adjusted financials. Users can move from rating outcomes to the underlying rationale, scores, factors, and financial adjustments that support them. Combined with broad coverage across corporates, financial institutions, sovereigns, public finance, and structured finance, this provides a connected view of credit risk that few providers can match. Delivered on the Capital IQ Pro platform, credit analysts, portfolio managers, risk managers and bankers can seamlessly look across rated and unrated exposures.
Recent milestones
Over the past 12 months, RatingsDirect expanded CreditStats Direct with additional sector coverage and greater transparency into adjusted financials through reconciliation click-throughs. It enhanced Credit Monitor with new surveillance workflows and introduced Credit Transition Signals, helping users identify potential rating migration risks earlier. The Credit Health Panel was added to help users review private companies, suppliers, and counterparties using consistent financial inputs, bringing unrated entities into their analysis in a structured way.
RatingsDirect also launched CreditCompanion for AI-assisted research discovery and improved search, navigation, visualizations, and screening tools to support faster credit analysis and monitoring. Users can also create committee-ready credit memos in minutes by using AI to combine financials, credit ratings, corporate info, market data and proprietary information with the newly introduced Credit Memo Builder.
Product roadmap
Over the next 12 to 18 months, RatingsDirect will continue to evolve as a connected credit intelligence platform, with planned investments in AI-assisted workflows, expanded data coverage, enhanced visualization tools, and more forward-looking risk monitoring capabilities. These enhancements will improve how users discover research, identify emerging credit risks, monitor portfolios, and access transparent credit insights, helping credit professionals make faster, more informed decisions while strengthening consistency across credit workflows.
