Tibco Software, a business integration and process management software company, is to acquire Spotfire, the Somerville, Massachusetts-based provider of business intelligence software. The deal is valued at approximately $195 million. Tibco says the integration of its expertise in service oriented architecture, business process management and business optimisation with Spotfire's business intelligence capabilities, will transform the way businesses use data. Tibco has 3,000 customers and offices
