Crédit Agricole and Société Générale finalise merger

Crédit Agricole S.A. and Société Générale have signed a final agreement to combine their asset management operations, after it was announced on January 26 that the French asset managers were planning to merge. The new entity will have just under €591bn under management, making it the fourth-largest European asset manager and the eighth-largest in the world.
