Fidelity Investments struggled to keep pace with late October's market turmoil and missed filing net asset values for 40 of its funds. Fidelity was not the only market participant who struggled to keep pace with the first billion-plus share days in the history of both the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq. But fewer mishaps have occurred in the year since, particularly during the summer and fall, when there was a succession of trading sessions where more than 1 billion shares changed
