Alliance Installs SS&C's Camra, Replaces Proprietary System

Alliance Capital Management will install SS&C Technologies Inc.'s Camra 2000 investment management system for its $25 billion insurance portfolios. The 32-bit software will replace one of Alliance's in-house systems.

Officials from both Alliance and SS&C were not available to comment by press time.

The investment company recently lost its long-time chief technology officer, Ron Valeggia, who left to assume the same post at discount broker Quick & Reilly. Replacing Valeggia last fall was Michael
