Standard Life Keeps Cost at The Forefront

EDINBURGH--Despite the faltering economy, Standard Life has not cut its IT budget. But cost is still a crucial factor for Sue Michie, head of IT for Standard Life Investments and Standard Life Healthcare.
Michie says her budget will be on par with last year’s, allowing for rises on software rentals and salaries. Essentially, she says, it assumes a stable head count, maintenance of the existing base and some further investment.
