Committee Formed to Oversee Disparate XML Standards

NEW YORK--In an effort to avoid the fragmentation that may be caused by the burgeoning but separate initiatives among financial services in XML adoption, a committee of industry members has been formed that will attempt to create some integration between the varying standards in financial markup languages.
An ISO XML Advisory Committee has been formed from representatives from FinXML, FIX, FIXML, FpML, the GSTPA, ISITC and Swift.
The committee intends to get the various vertical markup language
