Outsourcing compliance: let the buyer beware

With less than a year to go until the Securities and Exchange Commission’s hedge fund registration rule comes into effect, whether and where to outsource in order to meet the Commission’s compliance requirements will become key decisions for hedge fund principals. This is especially the case for funds not already registered with the US financial services watchdog.
