Sungard Agrees to Integration Deal with Liquidnet

NEW YORK--Sungard has agreed to build and support a two-way interface between its Decalog Trader system and Liquidnet, the institutional alternative trading system.

Liquidnet touts itself as bringing liquidity to the trader rather than leaving the trader to seek the liquidity. Citing what it sees as a decline in the size of average execution size, Liquidnet foresees transaction costs effectively rising in relation to the volume of trades. Its approach to providing cost savings to the investment
