Alexandra signs with Sophis for portfolio, risk management

NEW YORK – Alexandra Investment Management, a New York-based convertibles arbitrage hedge fund has signed up to use risk management vendor Sophis’s Value portfolio and risk management application. Alexandra, which has $950 million in assets under management, says it chose the system to deal with the significant increase in trading volume it has seen recently.

The hedge fund will use Value for stress-testing, ‘what if’ scenario generation and real-time, intra-day profit-and-loss analysis
