DBC Buys CMS; Shark To Target Inst'l Bond Buyers


In an attempt to strengthen its fixed-income presence on the buy side, Data Broadcasting Corp. (DBC) last week signed an agreement to purchase Capital Management Sciences (CMS) for $23.3 million. According to Allan Tessler, co-chief executive officer of DBC, CMS will operate as a division of the vendor's Shark Information Services Corp. subsidiary.
