PORTFOLIO SYSTEMS
J. & W. Seligman is wending its way through the thickets of high-end portfolio management systems in a quest to upgrade or replace its current National Investors Data Services Inc. (Nids) Nidsport system.
According to industry sources who'd seen a request for proposal issued recently by Seligman, the firm seeks to upgrade to a UNIX platform with relational database functionality and multicurrency capability. Seligman's Nidsport system currently runs on Data General Corp. hardware.
