Thomson Sets Major Reorg, Repositions Senior Executives

ANTICIPATING a far-reaching corporate restructuring, Thomson Corp. has appointed Mason Slaine president and chief executive officer of its Thomson Financial Services Inc. unit (TFS). At the same time, the Toronto-based publishing conglomerate has moved up former TFS head Andrew Mills to take the role of president and chief executive officer of a newly created unit dubbed the Financial and Professional Publishing Group--under whose umbrella TFS will reside.
