Message volume on OPRA hit a new peak two weeks ago: 20,381 messages per second. Yes, you read that right. The previous peak, in January, was 17,177. And less than one year ago, in April 2003, it was about 9,000 messages per second. The growth was particularly fast in the last two quarters, and one expert predicts that, by the end of this year, the peak could double that of January’s, passing the 30,000 mark.
