While the London Stock Exchange (LSE) was mulling offers from Nasdaq, the Tokyo Stock Exchange (TSE) unveiled an aggressive, $500 million IT plan, Nasdaq took steps to accommodate Brut, Amex announced a demutualization effort, and the Hybrid System of the NYSE got official approval. It is definitely the beginning of the end of open outcry as we know it.
