Don't Rush Reg NMS
BEFORE THE SPIN
While I generally prefer to sing my own tune, I find that I must chime in with the industry heavyweights who are urging the extension of the June 29, 2006 deadline of the Regulation National Market System (Reg NMS) reform initiatives for the trade-through and market access rules. From what I can see, read and hear, it's better to be late with Reg NMS than rush the industry into hastily prepared, half-baked systems and solutions.
I'm not taking issue with impetus behind Reg NMS. Many, including
