WG8 Discusses IBEI Name Change
Frankfurt - The new ISO Working Group 8 (WG8), focusing on business entity identification, is considering changing the 'international business entity identifier' (IBEI) code name to 'issuer and guarantor identifier' (IGI), officials tell Inside Reference Data.
WG8 is trying to find an identifier code designation that reflects the nature of the code. IGI is a possible option, according to Frankfurt-based Uwe Meyer, manager, standardization at WM Datenservices and the convener of WG8.
