Standardization Marches On

Let's be clear about this: what kind of data has been standardized? From a data vendor's perspective wishing to disseminate market data, we are talking about corporate actions content. Pricing data is considered to be relatively straightforward, and as the industry managed to get to grips with the various proprietary offerings that existed long ago, we appear to be content to maintain those formats for years to come. So-called 'static data' - which turns out to be anything but - has also been in
