Outsourcing to Help In-House Teams Build Expertise, Say Panelists

Firms are increasingly assessing tactical outsourcing opportunities, but market participants do not expect outsourcing to replace the need for internal data management teams, according to a panel at the FISD event in London in September.

Panelists said they did not foresee the industry ever moving to a utility-style approach where all firms share one security master. Instead, the expectation is that there will still be a need for in-house teams.
