Nasdaq Adds Nanosecond Timestamps, Fixes Reporting, Index Errors

Nasdaq OMX began distributing nanosecond timestamps for its TOPO (Top of PHLX Options) and TOPO Plus Orders datafeeds and its PHLX XL Specialized Quote Interface and Clearing Trade Interface last Friday, July 29, to provide more transparency into latency, using a field already included in the feed specification.

The exchange also advised clients of some errors in SEC Rule 605 execution quality reports for April and May 2011, which it is working to correct and re-post with its unnamed data
