‘Emerging’ Exchanges Report Data Declines
Though emerging markets in Asia and South America have delivered consistent returns through the financial crisis, the latest financial results from emerging market exchanges show declines in market data revenues for the second quarter.
Last week, Brazilian exchange BM&F Bovespa reported a 1.7 percent decline in overall net operating revenue from Q2 last year to BRL (Brazilian real) 467.6 million. Of this, sales of market data raised BRL 16.3 million ($10.1 million) for Q2, down 3.1 percent on
