Thomson Reuters ‘Mines' Text for Default Probability Scores

Thomson Reuters has unveiled StarMine Text Mining Credit Risk Model (TMCRM), a data service that delivers a score for a company's implied default probability, based on analysis of text-based content such as company financial statements, news and research documents.

The vendor rolled out the service -- which is aimed at front-office staff including traders, investment managers and analysts, as well as those involved in risk management functions -- over the past two weeks, after around three years

Only users who have a paid subscription or are part of a corporate subscription are able to print or copy content.
