The new data delivery options will attract more clients seeking standardized offerings, officials say.
Until now, traders connected to GTX exclusively using the FIX Protocol to receive individually-tailored feeds of prices from the brokers with which they are permissioned to trade. The new binary protocols are expected to deliver greater speed and throughput to attract algorithmic traders.
