For any data field or piece of content, Synapse is designed to show any downstream impacts of that data, such as who uses a data field, and how; where an item of data originated from, or who created it; and who can make changes to data fields. In addition to better understanding a dataset's lineage and provenance, this also means the data is made more visible and available for use elsewhere within a firm's other business activities.
