TCB Data-Broadhead pairing highlights challenges of market data management

When TCB Data Systems was created in the late 1980s, market data inventory reports were sent to the data publishers via the US Postal Service. Thomas Butts and his co-founders had a vision of automating this important but time-consuming process.

Flash forward more than three decades, and Broadhead Technologies’ Alan Ross had a similar itch, this time to revolutionize data entitlements. But instead of using basic computers to do it, Ross set his sights on distributed ledger technology (DLT).
