Startup DragonFish to Spawn Three Sentiment Analysis Tools in Q4
The vendor monitors equities and currency market news to derive sentiment for a stock.
DragonFish's offerings are aimed at supporting traders who want to include sentiment analysis within their trading strategies, and will be made available through APIs. The products monitor news sources for stories about all the stocks in the S&P 500, Dow Jones Industrial Average, and Nasdaq 100 indexes, as well as news on 18 currencies against the US dollar. The vendor's sentiment engine scans the language of news stories, comparing it to thousands of financial phrases and terminology.
