Calypso President: Acquisition Means Greater Focus on Technology

Partner of acquiring firm expects double-digit growth out of Calypso going forward.

An increased investment in technology will be the major focus of Calypso Technology's acquisition by private equity firms Bridgepoint and Summit Partners, Pascal Xatart, president of Calypso, tells WatersTechnology.

Xatart says the executive management will remain the same, with exception of the departure of co-founders Charles Martson, the executive chairman, and Kishore Bopardikar, the CEO, who both sold all their equity in the company to the two firms. Xatart will take over as CEO, but
