NewsHedge, Metricle Bow Systematic Twitter Analysis API
The new offering identifies unusual trading activity and correlates it to news events on Twitter.
Developed via an existing partnership with New York-based Twitter analytics provider Metricle, the NewsHedge Alpha API Twitter Edition monitors order book trading activity for more than 6,200 individual instruments for unusual behavior resulting from news events, then uses Metricle’s curation techniques to process conversational sentiments, tag events, measure trends and assess the velocity of social media activity, rather than first using natural-language processing to identify market-moving
