Managing cloud costs comes down to putting controls in place

With cloud usage now pervasive throughout the capital markets, firms are focusing on stemming unintended costs.

Cloud usage in the capital markets has risen dramatically in recent years. One notable example is BNY, which in June 2020 introduced its cloud-native data platform, Data Vault, which helps users collect, connect, store, and distribute data across an organization. Another is Canadian bank RBC, which told WatersTechnology that it has a team focused on developing its hybrid cloud system. Then there are the headline partnerships between cloud service providers like Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud
