The quantum leap: How investment firms are innovating with quantum tech
While banks and asset managers are already experimenting with quantum computing to optimize operations, they should also be proactive in adopting quantum-safe strategies.
It may take a decade or more for quantum computers to be deployed in the capital markets, but that doesn’t mean firms should sit back and wait for that day. Though most investment firms’ attention is focused on newer, more accessible technologies like AI, some have continued experimenting with quantum by combining the two.
For example, in February 2025, BlackRock teamed up with Qognitive to test a new way to classify corporate bonds using “quantum cognition” AI.
