Media reports at the end of last week revealed that Anthropic’s Q2 revenue is projected to hit $10.9 billion, giving it a valuation of more than $900 billion, making it the most profitable AI company in the world.

Its success over its (marginally older) competitor, OpenAI, is owed not to a greater edge in its tech capabilities, but to a strategic decision to go after B2B and enterprise contracts. In its pursuit to power global workplaces, a useful tool in Anthropic’s belt has been the Model
