The complexity of using AI to tackle compliance

The regulatory compliance space is complex. Multi-jurisdictional capital markets firms face multiple regulators and regulations, each with varying degrees of complexity and enforcement levels.

Factor in AI, and the complexity grows. There’s chatter that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) may write new rules to govern the use of AI. Then there’s the new EU AI Act, the first legislation of its kind to legally define AI types and use cases and regulate them by their potential for harm.
