Repo tokens won’t be cleared. Or will they?

Uncertainty lingers over clearing status of tokenized Treasuries, with decision likely devolved to DTCC.

This article is the last in a three-part series on tokenized US Treasuries.

The picture is starting to take shape. Tokenization of US Treasuries will happen later this year, after a 30-strong group of market-makers, dealers and tech firms successfully trialed a series of transactions using digital twins of real-life securities in a July experiment hosted by the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation.
