Photonics: time for trading tech to see the light

Prior to joining HPR more than a decade ago, Tim Field worked in robotics, building business-to-business collaboration robots and, naturally, bomb-disposal robots that had “some autonomous capabilities.”

Apparently, there’s a fair amount of overlap between building robots and building high-performance trading technology. The hardest part of Field’s second act was just learning the capital markets, he says.
