Cost, data quality and data management needs drive managed services debate.
One of the key challenges to managing benchmark data costs is that many firms—and particularly end users at firms—don’t understand the full extent of the costs involved, beyond upfront licensing costs, participants said, because there is little transparency into associated costs that are harder to quantify. In June, a Cutter Associates study of 17 firms revealed the difficulty of tracking costs beyond the license fees.
