Muni Data Repository Plans Spark Debate Between NASACT, MSRB

Good municipal bond data is hard to find. So are the systems that store and distribute it. To remedy this situation, the Municipal Security Rulemaking Board (MSRB) this week will ask the Securities and Exchange Commission to approve its bid to implement an electronic repository of municipal bond "official statements" submitted voluntarily by underwriters. The SEC's response to the MSRB's request for approval of the system is not expected until the fall.
