My dad always used to tell me that everyone has a book in them—meaning that everyone has unique experiences and perspectives that can be turned into something useful, creative, and educational or entertaining (rather than literally having a book in them, which one of my kids still may, having digested a significant portion of The Going to Bed Book as an infant—cardboard pages, very tasty!).
