After funding boost, Databento preps data expansion

After recently announcing $97 million in funding, the vendor is pressing ahead with global expansion plans.

Utah-based Databento has been busy since raising almost $100 million in Series B funding in August. Having begun life as a pay-as-you-go historical data service, the vendor is now taking the same pay-as-you-go approach to real-time data, and has a growing list of planned datasets and expansion efforts.

When announcing its Series B funding, the vendor said that “three years from now, more finance professionals will know how to use a Databento terminal than a traditional terminal.” The vendor says
