Market Vision Wants A Piece Of The Market It Helped Create

Market Vision Corp. is going to give it one last shot. After losing more than $11 million in recent years, the small New York-based vendor of high-end technical analysis software has a new president and new hope of just maybe salvaging the company.

The new chief is James Shapiro, recruited last month from Track Data Corp., where he was executive vice president in charge of, among other things, acquisitions. One promising acquisition that ultimately didn't pan out, he says, was Market Vision. So
