Stinging ADP, Quotron Wins 500 Users At Fahnestock

In its biggest win in several years, Quotron signed Fahnestock & Co. ten days ago. The New York-based retail broker will replace its 500 ADP quote terminals with Quotron's Advantage AE market data service.

Ousting dumb terminals from ADP, Fahnestock will install IBM PCs equipped with Microsoft Corp. Windows on the desks of 500 retail brokers and other quote users, and IBM RS/6000 servers in each of its 40-plus branch offices.
