Analysts: Glocer Memo Is Not Significant

The latest internal memo from Reuters caused much discussion in the press and new activity in the market in the past week. But analysts covering Reuters are less impressed, Inside Market Data has found.
In the memo, which Reuters released on Friday, Oct. 8 after it was leaked, Glocer updated staff on the Group Management Committee meetings held during the week of Sept. 27. Among other points, Glocer stated that Reuters has set a budget that shows the company growing its revenues in 2005.
