S&P Merges Platt's, Metals Week; Platt's Commodities Group Is Born

McGraw-Hill Inc.'s S&P Information Group has combined two of its units into a new commodities division. The vendor finalized plans over the summer to merge the separate editorial, sales and technological operations of the two units -- Platt's Energy Services and a group of metals publications led by Metals Week. The new commodities group will be known as Platt's.
