Turning Research from Cost to Profit


Banks’ information centers will increasingly move from being seen as cost centers to emerging profit centers that provide services commercially to other parts of their business, says a report from London-based data vendor Perfect Information.

The vendor’s subsidiary Perfect Research polled 60 executives from 20 City-based investment banks, consultants and legal firms. By its definition, information centers range from the departments that collate and store basic reference data to the research
