Reuters Reassigns Weetman, Splits Media, New Business

LONDON--Reuters has reshuffled senior management within CFO Robert Rowley's group, reassigning Geoffrey Weetman and splitting his media responsibilities from his new business ventures role. The move, which creates a new position of director of new business strategies, appears to be aimed at shoring up both areas.

The new position, to be filled Jan. 1 by Alister Todd, will be based in Palo Alto, Calif., home to Reuters' Tibco unit. Todd is deputy managing director of Reuters Europe, Middle East
