ProQuote, the venerable PC-based charting package, is slowly making its way back into the marketplace after a series of law-suits, countersuits and injunctions threatened to block its distribution last September. Through an unusual agreement that gives two Toronto companies ownership of the software, ProQuote will be marketed by Automated Investments Inc. and PC Quote Canada Ltd., formerly Eastern Datacom Systems (EDS) Ltd.

It all started auspiciously enough in January 1988, when Bill St. Arnaud
