The Association of National Numbering Agencies has sought legal advice on the legitimacy of a Standard & Poor's claim that CUSIP-based ISIN numbers represent intellectual property rights (IPR), in the long-running dispute between S&P, ANNA and the International Organization for Standardization, sources tell Inside Market Data.
