ABN Sells Datastation Design To Tibco

AMSTERDAM--ABN Amro has sold its proprietary front-end data display application, called Datastation, to Tibco.

The sale to Tibco is a soft dollar deal, says Rob Bestevaar, senior vice president, information technology at ABN. He says that ABN didn't feel that it should have to develop and manage new releases of the product when it was essentially Tibco's technology, he says. Tibco bought the intellectual property rights to Datastation and, says Bestevaar, it is now "up to them" what is done with
